MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas! I bribed the girls into sitting in front of the camera with their santa hat on by letting them open up a present. Wishing everyone a blessed holiday and wonderful new year!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Well it finally warmed up a little for us to make it out to the pumpkin patch. Everybody must've had the same thought because it was super crowded. We met another family there and had a great time. I thought Peyton would not like the hay-rack ride to the patch, but she LOVED it! All the kids ended up with green pumpkins for some reason.

Silly Monkey

Here's Peyton's impression as a monkey - it cracks me up every time she does it! I'm not sure where she got this but she started it this morning after watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Maybe I should have her dress up as a monkey for Halloween instead of a bunny!

Autumn has arrived!

My favorite time of year has arrived. Here are a couple pictures of the girls taken this weekend. We are going to try to hit the pumpkin patch this weekend so I'll post more pics. Hopefully, it won't be too cold!

Backyard Fun

Here are some pics of the girls enjoying the nice Kansas weather this summer out in our backyard...

Summer Fun

I can't believe it's August already - where has the summer gone?! We have been keeping very busy this summer. Daddy built the girls a playset in the backyard, which they absolutely love! Then we try to take advantage of the weekends and have been keeping busy with activities such as Mommy and the girls visit to the Farmer's Market every Saturday morning, going to see the farm animals at Deanna Rose Farmstead, playing at Monkey Bizness and hanging out at the Johnson County Museum of History (where you can see pictures of the future Dr. Parker Aucoin). Here are a few pics of our summer activities...

Vacation at the Lake

We ventured out for our first family vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks in June. The girls had a great time hanging out with Mommy & Daddy and swimming at the pool. We kept it low-key and mainly hung out at the resort but did get a chance to go to Ha Ha Tonka Park to see the castle ruins. We had a great time and look forward to making this a family tradition.

Outdoor Fun

Here are a few pics of the girls (and Scout) enjoying their new gently-used outdoor cube slide. Note Peyton's organic t-shirt and Parker's hippie tie-dyed onesie - we're celebrating Earth Day week!! Reuse, Reduce & Recycle!!!

Peyton the Flower Girl

Peyton was one of the flower girls for my sister's wedding. We didn't think she'd walk down the aisle without Mommy carrying her but she managed to walk down and even throw 4 petals!! The other flower girl had to be carried down by her dad - so everyone was proud of our little Peyton. Here are a few pics from the church and from the morning ceremony, spending time with Uncle Dzung. And not to forget about Parker - here's a very adorable picture of her in the wildflower field close to my sister's house!

Parker's 1st Birthday!!

Happy 1st Birthday Parker! Here are a few pics of Parker on her special day. No pics of Peyton since she wouldn't pose for pics or make eye contact with the camera. Tomorrow is supposed to hit 70 here in KC, so I will try to get pics of the girls outside.

Video of Parker Walking

Here's a short video of Parker walking taken in early February. This is in the early days of her walking, now she is a pro. She now walks everywhere and even tries to run at times.

I'm frantically trying to take pictures of Parker to get out on her 1st birthday invitation. We had wonderful weather this weekend so here are a few cute pics of the girlsl

Snow Day

The weatherman called for a dusting of snow but we ended up getting about an inch and a half. Peyton had fun sledding but I had to take her in since she wouldn't keep her gloves on. She was not happy with Mommy! Parker is still the happy-go-lucky baby - she runs away from me when I'm trying to dress her.
